During the Punjab State Inter District Senior One Day Limited Overs Tournament 2026-27, Abhishek Sharma revived his form by scoring 233 runs off just 91 balls for Amritsar Men Senior against Tarn Taran. The left-handed opener struck 15 fours and an extraordinary 25 sixes, achieving a strike rate of 256.04. Partnering with Abhay Choudhary, the duo compiled a 305-run opening partnership, with Choudhary making 93 runs.
Sharma’s innings ended when Ashish Lowrance claimed his wicket on the fourth ball of the 25th over. Amritsar finished their 50-over innings at 533/8, with Sunrisers Hyderabad wicket-keeper batter Salil Arora adding 29 runs from 18 balls. One of Sharma’s sixes has gone viral online, and he is slated to represent India at the 2026 Asian Games in Japan.
