Actor Rajpal Yadav's Shahjahanpur properties slated for auction over Rs 16 crore loan
Two assets owned by Rajpal Yadav in Shahjahanpur will be auctioned on September 9 after the Central Bank of India issued notices for a defaulted loan of Rs 16.61 crore.
Central Bank of India in Mumbai has posted official notices that two of Rajpal Yadav’s holdings - a city residence and a village farm in Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh - will be sold online on September 9. The actor’s outstanding liability to the bank stands at Rs 16.61 crore, while the two properties together are estimated at roughly Rs 3.19 crore. The debt arose from a loan taken to fund his directorial venture, the movie “Aata Pata Lapata,” which remains unpaid.
Bank records show that Yadav also used properties owned by his wife, Radha Yadav, and his mother, Godavari Yadav, as guarantors, leading to action against those assets. Additional auctions of some of his Mumbai properties are reportedly already in progress. Yadav has not issued a public statement about the auction notices. He continues to work in films, recently appearing in “Welcome to the Jungle” and slated for “Haiwaan.”
