Actress Rachel Buffett convicted as accessory after double murder, friend alleges drug threat

Audrey, who met Rachel Buffett in college, recalled Buffett saying she could slip ecstasy into a drink without the victim noticing, a comment that led Audrey to cut ties with her. About a month after their split, Juri "Julie" Kibuishi was found shot in the head in Samuel Herr's apartment while Herr was missing. Police later linked the crimes to Buffett's fiancé, Daniel Wozniak, who admitted killing both victims to obtain money and was sentenced to death.

Prosecutors said Buffett misled investigators to protect Wozniak, resulting in a 2018 jury conviction on two felony accessory counts and a 32-month sentence. Buffett has maintained her innocence, telling a journalist at one outlet that she had no prior knowledge of the murders.
