adidas Teams Up with Esports Foundation to Craft Over 100 Nations Cup Jerseys

adidas has become the exclusive apparel partner for the Esports Nations Cup, unveiling the French jersey and beginning a rollout of more than 100 national kits for the November 2026 event in Riyadh.

In preparation for the first Esports Nations Cup in November 2026, the Esports Foundation appointed adidas as the sole supplier of official jerseys, debuting the French national team kit on Sunday. Chief commercial officer Mohammad Al Nimer explained that the jersey serves as the primary visual symbol of each nation, requiring careful cultural relevance and performance standards. adidas senior vice president Phillip Waller noted the brand’s long history with global sports events and its belief that esports fits that tradition.

The design team, drawing on prior soccer kit work for countries such as Spain and Japan, adapted the silhouette for esports while incorporating unique national motifs. With more than 100 nations expected to compete in 16 titles, the rollout will continue throughout the year, despite a compressed development schedule. The partnership aims to produce apparel that appeals to both esports fans and the broader public, encouraging wider adoption of competitive gaming as a mainstream sport.

Why it matters

The jerseys give esports a tangible national identity, helping the sport reach mainstream audiences and generate new merchandise revenue.
