Amazon hits $3 trillion market cap as Bezos expands $500 million real-estate empire

Amazon’s market value topped $3 trillion after a strong earnings report, while Jeff Bezos’ personal property holdings now total roughly $500 million across the United States.

Amazon announced robust second-quarter earnings that lifted its market capitalization above $3 trillion, the highest single-day gain for the stock since early May. The surge was fueled by accelerating demand for the company’s AI-focused cloud services, leading CEO Andy Jassy to increase the year-long capital-expenditure target to $220 billion. The strong performance also amplified Jeff Bezos’ wealth, with Bloomberg estimating his fortune at about $290 billion.

Bezos’ personal real-estate holdings, valued at roughly $500 million, now include three homes on Indian Creek Island in Miami—one bought for $90 million in 2024—and plans to replace two neighboring houses with a larger estate. His portfolio also features a historic Washington, D.C., estate, a New York City penthouse complex, a $78 million oceanfront estate in Maui, the Warner Estate in Beverly Hills, and a 400,000-acre Texas ranch that hosts Blue Origin’s 10,000-Year Clock and a space-themed lounge.

Recent moves include the sale of a Seattle-area property for $63 million, more than double its 2019 purchase price. Together, the corporate earnings surge and the expanding property empire highlight the intertwined growth of Amazon’s AI business and Bezos’ personal wealth.
