Amazon probes video of driver tossing package onto Florida porch

A doorbell camera captured a delivery driver throwing a parcel onto a Florida homeowner's porch, prompting Amazon to launch an investigation.

A Florida resident shared Ring camera video that depicts a delivery driver abruptly tossing a parcel onto his cement porch, then photographing the scene before departing. The customer, Nathan Pekas, identified the shipment as coming from Yun Express, a contractor often used for Amazon orders, and posted a photo of the box with a broken corner. Amazon said the footage does not reflect the expectations it sets for its delivery partners and announced an internal review.

The incident follows other recent online clips showing delivery personnel throwing heavy items, including a Nebraska homeowner’s TikTok video of a FedEx driver aiming packages at pets. Such videos have sparked public criticism of delivery practices. Amazon’s statement underscores its commitment to proper handling, while the broader one outlet highlights concerns over package theft and mishandling nationwide.
