Anna Nordqvist unveils final Team Europe roster and rookie strategy for Solheim Cup

Anna Nordqvist used her latest captain’s column, produced with the Ladies European Tour, to reveal the finalized 12-player Team Europe roster for the 2026 Solheim Cup. She described the emotional difficulty of making phone calls to players who did not make the team and expressed enthusiasm about the three rookies—Julia López Ramirez, Nastasia Nadaud and Mimi Rhodes—who earned captain’s picks alongside established qualifiers such as Charley Hull, Esther Henseleit, Lottie Woad, Maja Stark, Linn Grant, Céline Boutier, Carlota Ciganda and Nanna Koerstz Madsen.

Nordqvist emphasized the mix of experience and aggressive play, noting that the “pairing puzzle” will be solved in the weeks leading up to the competition. The biennial match will take place at Bernardus Golf in the Netherlands from September 11-13, with live coverage on one outlet Golf. Defending champions Team USA, captained by Angela Stanford, will announce their squad later in August. Preparations continue behind the scenes with vice-captains, support staff and caddie captains.
