Anthony Smith, a former UFC title challenger now working as a fight analyst, was taken into custody in Nebraska on three felony charges stemming from an incident at a Gretna bar. Prosecutors allege he threatened his wife, Mikhala, with lethal force, forced her into a vehicle, and attempted to run her over. After turning himself in, Smith posted a $500,000 bond and will return to court on August 17.
His manager, Brian Butler of SuckerPunch Entertainment, issued a public plea for patience, emphasizing the presumption of innocence and requesting privacy for the family. Butler also shared a private Instagram comment from Mikhala, in which she defended Smith’s character and cited mental-health concerns.
