Antifa support group shares stage with Hamas funder's daughter to protest prosecutions

In Dallas, the DFW Support Committee, a group that raises money for legal defense of antifa defendants, participated in a panel organized by Dare to Struggle Dallas-Fort Worth. Sharing the stage with Nida Abu Baker, whose father was sentenced for co-leading a Texas charity that funded Hamas, the speakers criticized recent federal prosecutions stemming from an anti-deportation riot. They argued the Department of Justice is targeting political dissent, citing the case of Aafia Siddiqui as another example.
The panel’s lineup linked grievances of antifa activists with those of pro-Palestinian advocates, suggesting a shared experience of governmental persecution. The antifa defendants had been arrested after an incident at an ICE facility that involved fireworks, property damage, and a firearm cache, with one activist allegedly shooting a police officer. Abu Baker is known for advocating the release of her father and other former Holy Land Foundation leaders convicted of material support for terrorism.
