Apple evaluates Chinese CXMT memory chips for iPhone and MacBook lines

Sources say Apple has begun trials of CXMT’s memory modules across its flagship devices, aiming to incorporate them in some units sold in China. The move follows early discussions with the Beijing-based chipmaker, which is the largest Chinese semiconductor firm by market value. HP and Acer have already adopted CXMT chips in laptops outside the United States to alleviate supply gaps. One outlet could not confirm the report, and neither Apple nor CXMT commented.
