Apple announced that beginning on Aug. 28 it will stream Friday Night Baseball in immersive video on its Vision Pro mixed-reality device. The broadcasts will include commentary from various analysts and reporters, with live graphics anchored to the viewer’s environment. The weekly streams will run for four consecutive Fridays, ending on Sep. 18, and the first game will feature the Boston Red Sox at the New York Yankees.
After each live event, replay versions will be accessible via the Apple TV app. This rollout expands Apple’s library of immersive content, which previously included live Lakers NBA games, a parkour experience in Paris, and an Alicia Keys rehearsal. The move aims to attract sports fans to the Vision Pro platform.
