Arizona State University introduced a Bachelor of Arts in content creation, teaching students how to build and monetize a social-media presence.

Arizona State University has added a Bachelor of Arts in content creation, aimed at students who want to become social-media influencers and strategic storytellers. Coursework teaches brand building, digital influence tactics and content production for video, podcasts and various platforms, with options to study online or at the university’s downtown Phoenix and Los Angeles sites. Annual tuition is $25,000 at the L.A. campus and $35,715 in Phoenix, amounting to roughly $100,000-$143,000 over four years, not including living expenses.

Graduates are positioned for entrepreneurial ventures or corporate roles such as marketing associate, manager or public-relations manager, with salaries cited in the six-figure range. The program reflects a broader shift, as a 2023 Morning Consult poll found 57% of Gen Z view influencing as a desirable career, and younger cohorts are following the same path. Arizona State joins a small group of schools adapting curricula to the growing creator economy.
