Arizona women's basketball lands top 2027 recruit Brieana Brown

Arizona coach Becky Burke announced the commitment of 6-foot wing Brieana Brown, the program's highest-rated 2027 signee.

Becky Burke's Arizona women's basketball program secured its top 2027 commitment with the addition of 6-foot wing Brieana Brown, a four-star recruit ranked No. 38 by one outlet. While one outlet places her high, other services either omit her or rank her lower, with Prospects Nation listing her at No. 47 overall. Brown played a key role in Francis Parker's 23-8 campaign and a Section Open Division championship, averaging 16.5 points and 9.4 rebounds last season.

She also competes for the Adidas 3SSB 17U champion club Seven Days. The commitment adds to a growing recruiting class that includes forward Ashley Krieger, guard Giaunni Rogers, and forward Dasia Scott, all of whom have visited the campus. Brown considered offers from several Power Five programs before selecting Arizona.

Why it matters

The signing boosts Arizona's recruiting profile and could elevate the program's competitiveness in the coming seasons.
