Armed intruders assault Bronx woman, steal over $340,000 in loot
Three men in black broke into a Highbridge apartment, pistol-whipped a 39-year-old woman, bound her and fled with more than $340,000 in jewelry, cash and other items.
Around 10:15 p.m. Thursday, a trio of men dressed in black forced their way into a residence near West 168 Street and Ogden Avenue in the Highbridge section of the Bronx. Armed with a firearm and a knife, they pistol-whipped a 39-year-old woman, stripped her of clothing, blindfolded her and bound her hands and feet with duct tape. The perpetrators then stole more than $340,000 worth of jewelry, cash, perfume and a cell phone before fleeing the scene.
Paramedics rushed the victim to NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln, where she was listed as stable despite multiple injuries. NYPD released surveillance footage of the suspects and appealed for information through the Crime Stoppers hotline and website.
