Army chief Dhiraj Seth inspects Central Command readiness and honors veteran contributors

General Dhiraj Seth conducted a two-day inspection of Central Command formations, beginning with a briefing at the Lucknow headquarters on the command's current security environment, infrastructure development and modernisation programmes. He then proceeded to the Uttar Bharat Area headquarters, interacting with senior officers and troops to gauge combat readiness and adaptability. Emphasising the importance of technological advancement and self-reliance, he linked these goals to the vision of a future-ready Indian Army and the broader Viksit Bharat 2047 agenda.
The visit also featured the conferral of the Yoddha Seva Samman on four retired veterans, including Harsh Kakar for strategic contributions and Arvind Singh Kushwaha for work in healthcare and medical education. The ceremony highlighted the army's commitment to recognising service beyond the battlefield.
