Atlanta Man Charged with Armed Robberies at Ten Stores Using Multiple Disguises

Tracy Daryl Mingo, a 33-year-old resident of College Park, Georgia, has been formally charged with 20 federal offenses tied to a series of armed robberies at ten retail locations across the Atlanta metropolitan area. The alleged crimes occurred from October 2025 through January 2026, with Mingo reportedly confronting store staff after hours, brandishing a gun and demanding cash. Prosecutors say he repeatedly altered his look, using disguises such as a construction worker, a health-care worker and a security guard to avoid detection.

A joint effort by the FBI, the Department of Justice and local police agencies led to his capture on Jan. 2 when he was observed putting on the security-guard outfit linked to a prior robbery. A federal grand jury indicted him on July 28 on counts including Hobbs Act robbery and illegal firearm possession, and a conviction could result in at least 63 years of imprisonment. He remains in custody under the US Marshals Service.
