Bayern Munich chief dismisses €5 million aid proposal for 1860 Munich

Liga licence. Historically, Bayern had bought 1860’s half-share in the Allianz Arena and deferred payments when the Lions were in financial trouble, but that cooperation ended after 1860’s 2017 relegation.
Dreesen wished the rival club well, praising its loyal supporters, yet he warned that Bayern’s fan base still harbors strong antipathy toward 1860. He said members would likely reject any monetary gift, describing the chances of a transfer as “very slim.” The CEO emphasized that starting from the bottom could be a fresh start for 1860, but Bayern would not fund it.
