Bayern to collect extra fees as former defender Nianzou joins Lille

Bayern Munich secured French centre-back Tanguy Nianzou in 2020 following his contract expiry with Paris Saint-Germain, but he never displaced the established defensive line of Jérôme Boateng, Niklas Süle, Lucas Hernandez and later Dayot Upamecano. He left for Sevilla, and German source Fußballtransfers now reports his transfer to OSC Lille for a fee characterized as low-single-digit euros. This move activates a €4 million bonus due to Bayern and a resale-share clause, though the precise future amount remains uncertain.
Consequently, Bayern will earn additional revenue from the deal. The report also references a comparable sell-on clause on academy product Jamie Lawrence, whose recent transfer to Belgian club OH Leuven yielded no payment.
