Blizzard unveils D.Mon, the latest Overwatch tank arriving August 11
Blizzard announced that the new Overwatch tank hero D.Mon will join the roster on August 11, bringing a hybrid of D.Va and Reinhardt abilities.
Blizzard confirmed that D.Mon, the newest tank hero for Overwatch, will become playable when Season 4: Heroes of Busan launches on August 11. First hinted at in a 2018 animated short, the character combines traits from D.Va and Reinhardt, offering horizontal dashes powered by a fuel bar and a ranged machine-gun attack. When her mech, named Beast, is destroyed, D.Mon ejects and can later summon the mech again using her ultimate, which also provides a sweeping sword slash that adds overhealth and boosts enemy damage taken.
Beast carries a shield and an energy sword, echoing Reinhardt’s defensive style. Blizzard cited influences from Gundam and FromSoftware’s Armored Core series for the design, and the hero is likely to receive a variety of cosmetic skins. The addition expands the roster to 53 heroes and 15 tanks, adding fresh strategic options for players.

The new hero adds fresh gameplay dynamics and expands Overwatch's character roster for its upcoming season.
