Blue Finch Secures Global Sales for Nick Kozakis’ Horror Action ‘Kick On’ Ahead of TIFF Midnight Madness

Blue Finch Films has acquired worldwide sales rights, except for Australia and New Zealand, to Nick Kozakis’ horror-action film “Kick On,” which will debut in the Midnight Madness program at the Toronto Film Festival.

Blue Finch Films announced it will manage worldwide sales for Nick Kozakis’ action-horror “Kick On,” excluding Australia and New Zealand, where Umbrella Entertainment holds the rights. The film is set to premiere in the Midnight Madness section of the Toronto International Film Festival, with sales launched at the festival’s industry market. The story tracks four friends whose evening descends into a drug-laden nightmare overseen by a volatile mobster’s son, leading to a cycle of paranoia and violence.

Kozakis, previously recognized for the Sitges-awarded “Godless: The Eastfield Exorcism,” says the movie embraces excess in blood, mayhem and adrenaline. The ensemble features Markella Kavenagh, Nikolai Nikolaeff, Ras-Samuel and Jacek Koman. Blue Finch’s roster also includes titles like “Attack on Paradise,” “Unholy Night,” and one outlet-backed “Mission.” Fableist Films, the indie banner behind “Kick On,” launched by Stephanie Troost and Simon Bell, marks its first feature with this high-profile festival slot.

Why it matters

The deal gives an emerging Australian genre film international exposure and distribution through a major festival.
