Blue Jays reliever Yimi Garcia likely out for season after diagnosis

Toronto Blue Jays right-handed reliever Yimi Garcia, 35, was diagnosed with thoracic outlet syndrome after experiencing neck and nerve symptoms during a minor-league rehab stint. The condition forced the team to halt his comeback and seek additional medical opinions. Manager John Schneider indicated that surgery may be considered, but the injury will most likely keep Garcia out for the remainder of the season.

Garcia has not pitched for the major-league club this year, having last appeared on the mound in July 2025.
