Bose unveils upgraded QuietComfort headphones with USB-C audio and enhanced ANC

Bose has introduced a refreshed QuietComfort headset featuring two-way USB-C connectivity, spatial audio and improved noise cancellation, priced at $359.

Bose announced its first hardware refresh of the QuietComfort headphones in three years, pricing the updated cans at $359. The revision brings the Immersive Audio algorithm, once exclusive to the QuietComfort Ultra, delivering a three-dimensional soundstage via built-in motion sensors, and adds a Cinema Mode that sharpens spoken words in movies and TV shows. Users can now enjoy lossless wired audio through a two-way USB-C port supporting up to 24-bit/48 kHz, while the same connection improves microphone clarity for videoconferencing.

Noise cancellation has been upgraded: the six-microphone system better handles sudden sound spikes and fills gaps caused by imperfect ear-cup seals, a boon for those who wear glasses. Physical updates feature a more comfortable headband, softer cushioning and oval-shaped earcups, offered in standard black or white and several limited-edition hues. The refreshed QuietComfort headphones become available for preorder on August 8, with deliveries beginning August 13.
