Boxing Star Claressa Shields Headlines Historic Atlanta Fight Night with Hip-Hop Lineup
Claressa Shields will headline a historic boxing card at State Farm Arena on August 15, featuring performances by several hip-hop artists.
On August 15, State Farm Arena will host a landmark boxing night headlined by Claressa Shields, marking the first time a woman headlines the venue. Shields, the undisputed heavyweight champion, will drop to a lower weight class to challenge unified WBC and WBA titleholder Kaye Scott. The event blends sport and music, with Grammy-nominated Atlanta rapper Latto walking out with Shields, and other hip-hop figures such as YG, Sauce Walka and Diamond The Body supporting fighters Ernesto “Tito” Mercado, Ray J and Atif Oberlton respectively.
Promoter Salita Promotions partnered with Atlanta-based Wynn Records and streaming service Zeus Network to produce the show. Wynn Records CEO Ruben Branson said the aim is to create an experience reflecting today’s sports-culture crossover. Tickets remain available through Ticketmaster.
