BTS delivers electrifying two-night show at New Jersey's MetLife Stadium
BTS wrapped up two sold-out concerts at MetLife Stadium, drawing over 80,000 fans and showcasing a high-energy set with elaborate visuals.
BTS concluded a two-night stint at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on August 1 and 2, delivering a performance that combined a 41-minute setlist with striking stage effects, including fireworks, confetti and synchronized light-stick displays. Olivia Silio of one outlet described the atmosphere as unprecedented, citing the stadium’s physical shaking during “Body to Body” and the thunderous chants during “MIC Drop.”
The concerts are the first two dates of the second North American leg of the group’s ‘Arirang World Tour,’ which will visit venues such as Gillette Stadium, M&T Bank Stadium, Rogers Stadium, Soldier Field and SoFi Stadium through early September. Fans were urged to secure merchandise early and arrange reliable transport, as Uber rides were frequently canceled after the shows. The event underscored the communal spirit of BTS’s fan community, ARMY, and set the tone for the remaining tour dates across the United States and Canada.
Why it matters
The concerts illustrate BTS’s massive live-show draw and cultural impact on North American audiences.
