Cameron Munster cleared to play after dangerous-contact charge reduced
Melbourne Storm five-eighth Cameron Munster will not miss the next game after his dangerous-contact charge was downgraded from grade two to grade one.
The NRL match review committee originally classified Munster’s low tackle on Manly forward Taniela Paseka as a grade two dangerous-contact offence. New evidence prompted the league to re-evaluate the incident and lower the charge to grade one. As a result, Munster avoids suspension and remains eligible for selection. The Storm have a bye in round 24 before hosting the Penrith Panthers in round 25.
Why it matters
The ruling keeps a key playmaker in the Storm’s lineup, affecting team performance and league standings.
