Charley Hull cites injuries as obstacle in uneven 2026 season despite major successes

Charley Hull arrived at this week’s PIF London Championship feeling buoyed by a solid 2026 campaign that included a victory at the PIF Saudi Ladies International and top-10 finishes at three of the five women’s majors. Nevertheless, she described the season as "hit and miss" because persistent injuries - a back issue dating back to July 2025 and ankle ligament damage sustained in August - have hampered her consistency and left her feeling stiff.

Hull’s recent showing at the AIG Women’s Open saw her climb into contention before a final-round slump, highlighted by missed putts and two double-bogeys that left her tied for sixth.
