Chipotle offers free chips and guacamole for two days to celebrate National Avocado Day
Chipotle is giving customers a complimentary side of chips and guacamole with any full-price entrée ordered through its app on July 31 and August 1, using promo code AVO2026.
To mark National Avocado Day, Chipotle will supply a free side of house-made chips and guacamole with any qualifying entrée purchased via the Chipotle app on July 31 and August 1, provided customers enter the discount code AVO2026 at checkout. The promotion does not apply to kids’ meals. Senior Vice President of Brand Marketing Stephanie Perdue emphasized the brand’s iconic chip-and-guac pairing and the decision to extend the offer to two days.
Chipotle’s guacamole is prepared daily from 48 ripe Hass avocados and a six-ingredient recipe. Earlier this month, the chain opened its first Mexican restaurant in San Pedro Garza García, Nuevo León, in collaboration with Alsea, as part of a plan to add 350-370 new sites worldwide in 2026. CEO Scott Boatwright said the move reflects strong demand for Chipotle’s customizable, fresh-food model. The free-guac promotion runs only through the app with the specified code.
Why it matters
The deal encourages app usage and highlights Chipotle's growth strategy, including its first restaurant in Mexico.
