The Indianapolis Colts will be without newly signed cornerback Cam Taylor-Britt for the first contest of the 2026 campaign after the NFL handed him a one-game suspension for breaching its personal conduct rules. The penalty stems from a plea deal he entered after a September 2025 reckless-driving arrest in Cincinnati, where he was stopped for driving without a license and allegedly performing a burnout near Paycor Stadium.
While his lawyer sought community service, a Hamilton County judge ordered five days of incarceration. Taylor-Britt, a 26-year-old who joined the Colts on a one-year, $1.4 million deal in March, will again work under Lou Anarumo, who moved from the Bengals to Indianapolis. During his four seasons in Cincinnati, he started 40 of 47 games, recorded seven interceptions (two returned for touchdowns), defended 38 passes, and posted a career-high 77 tackles in 2024. He also made a playoff interception in the 2022 divisional round.
