Commercial LPG cylinder rates drop over Rs 200 in Delhi and Kolkata
Effective August 1, commercial LPG cylinders were priced lower in Delhi and Kolkata, with the 19-kg unit reduced by roughly Rs 200 in each city.
From August 1, commercial LPG pricing was adjusted downward in both Delhi and Kolkata. In Delhi, the 19-kg cylinder now costs Rs 2,930, a reduction of Rs 202, while Kolkata’s price fell to Rs 2,872.50, a cut of Rs 209. These changes continue a trend of consecutive monthly reductions, after a Rs 183.50 drop in Delhi the previous month.
Prices for domestic LPG cylinders were left untouched. Oil marketing companies also lowered the 5-kg free-trade LPG cylinder in Delhi by Rs 13, setting its price at Rs 808.50. The revisions reflect ongoing adjustments in the LPG market, affecting commercial users in the two major cities.
Why it matters
