He pointed out that Iran itself denied any such agreement, prompting Trump to label the nation “unbelievably duplicitous” while refraining from further threats. The columnist also referenced the Reflecting Pool controversy, noting that the administration initially blamed vandals, including former Olympian David Hearn, before quietly admitting the pool’s lining was improperly installed, yet Trump persisted in accusing prosecutor Jeanine Pirro of yielding under pressure.

Egger added that Trump continues to claim record poll numbers, boasts about his golf performance, and circulates outdated AI posts, illustrating a persistent pattern of operating in a self-constructed reality. He warned that as more observers recognize this divergence, the president shows little intention of correcting his narrative.
