Cornell student claims 5G radiation is harming him and seeks new housing

A 19-year-old Cornell student, Austin Franco, posted a midnight rant on X claiming that a 5G antenna outside his Ithaca apartment was emitting radiation far above normal limits, leaving him with a pounding headache and ringing in his ears. He asked the online community for temporary housing, saying he would soon leave the residence. Franco opened a GiveSendGo page on July 29, raising more than $10,000, and a separate fundraiser created by far-right YouTuber Miles Routledge has generated roughly $26,000.
Donors framed the fundraising as a stand against perceived oppression of “free white men and women.” Franco’s parents told The Post that his extremist online content led to his eviction. Franco has not replied to interview requests but is slated to resume classes at Cornell for the upcoming term.
