Crockett doubts Talarico's chances to turn Texas blue without party funding

She cited two polls—Wedgewood and Texas Southern University—that give Talarico a slim advantage, yet many voters remain uncommitted and traditionally Republican.

Crockett attributed her own primary defeat to racism and argued that her best contribution to Talarico’s campaign is endorsing five Black men who all won runoff elections. The piece also notes Talarico’s remarks labeling bans on gender-affirming care as “Christofascism” and his view that the New Testament mandates government-run health insurance. Additionally, Crockett observed that national Republicans are directing money to North Carolina and Georgia, while Democrats have not prioritized Texas, underscoring strategic uncertainty in the race.
