Defence Minister hails Operation Sindoor and urges blood donation at Delhi camp

During a blood-donation event at Base Hospital in Delhi Cantt, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh highlighted Operation Sindoor as evidence of the Indian military’s unmatched bravery and its commitment to safeguard citizens, including the cultural symbol of sindoor. He commended the forces for neutralising terrorist elements and their handlers operating from Pakistan, stressing that any adversary targeting India would be dealt with harshly.

Singh connected the operation’s courage with the compassion shown by donors, noting that roughly one thousand wrestlers and athletes from Maharashtra participated. He described donated blood as a vital reserve for soldiers and their families, emphasizing that no artificial substitute exists. The minister called on youth to make blood donation a cultural norm and to maintain fitness, linking personal health to national service. The event was attended by Maharashtra deputy chief minister Eknath Shinde, who echoed the legacy of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj as an inspiration for protecting the nation.
