A viral clip captured a 15-year-old girl using offensive language toward Prime Minister Narendra Modi during a protest, prompting a Zero FIR at Noida's Expressway police station. After the girl posted an apology stating she was swayed by a group and that it was her first mistake, the FIR was moved to Parliament Street police station in New Delhi. Delhi Police examined the filing and opted not to file a formal case, citing her remorse and the circumstances.
The original complaint, lodged by a Ghaziabad resident, cited sections 352, 353(1) and 356(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. Station House Officer Amit Khatri noted the girl resides with her family in Faridabad. No further legal action is expected.
