Detroit Lions add Super Bowl champion linebacker Devin White to roster
The Detroit Lions signed former Super Bowl winner and veteran linebacker Devin White to strengthen their defense.
On Saturday afternoon the Detroit Lions announced the signing of veteran linebacker Devin White, a former Super Bowl champion. White, 28, finished the 2025 season with the Las Vegas Raiders, ranking third in the league with 174 total tackles, a personal best. He originally entered the NFL as the fifth overall pick by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2019 and contributed a game-high 12 tackles and an interception in the Buccaneers’ 31-9 victory in Super Bowl LV.
Following a short, unused contract with the Philadelphia Eagles and a reserve role with the Houston Texans, White now pairs his experience with Lions All-Pro Jack Campbell to add leadership to Detroit’s defense. Over his career, White has amassed 759 tackles, 25.5 sacks, and four interceptions. The move aims to bolster the Lions’ linebacker unit ahead of the upcoming season.
