Dina Thorslund reclaims undisputed bantamweight titles after emotional comeback

Dina Thorslund, who vacated her titles in June 2025 due to pregnancy and later suffered a miscarriage, made a triumphant return at MVPW-5 in Orlando, Florida. Facing undisputed champion Cherneka Johnson, Thorslund imposed her pace, landing 37 punches to Johnson's 14 in the first three rounds. Her relentless pressure built a decisive 103-62 advantage, and all judges scored the bout 100-90 in her favor.

The win awarded her the WBC, WBO, WBA and IBF bantamweight championships, ending Johnson's undisputed status. Thorslund dedicated the triumph to her training partner Raven Chapman, who had undergone emergency brain surgery after a sparring accident in Denmark.
