Disney+ Announces September Premiere for Final Season of ‘Made in Korea’

Disney+ confirmed that the Korean period crime series “Made in Korea” will return for a six-episode second and final season beginning September 9. The finale will open with two episodes, then add two new installments each Wednesday, wrapping up on September 23, and will be streamed on both Disney+ and Hulu. The narrative jumps nine years forward, depicting Baek Kitae, played by Hyun Bin, who has become a KCIA deputy director while expanding his drug operations, and his former foe Jang Geonyoung, portrayed by Jung Woo-sung, who emerges from the shadows to execute a meticulously plotted revenge.

The creative team returns, with Park Eun-kyo writing every episode and Woo Min-ho directing, both known for acclaimed political thrillers. Actor Woo Dohwan reprises his role as Baek Kitae’s brother, Baek Kihyun, and the series is produced by Hive Media Corp. The first season had been Disney+’s most-watched Korean original premiere of 2025 across the Asia-Pacific region.
