Disney+ Orders Korean Spiritual Competition Spin-off ‘House of Fates’
Disney+ has approved a new series called “House of Fates,” a spin-off of the hit Korean competition show “Battle of Fates.”
Disney+ confirmed production of “House of Fates,” a spin-off derived from the record-breaking Korean competition program “Battle of Fates.” The new series will spotlight the three contestants who placed highest in the original contest, occasionally joined by other former participants. Filmed on location throughout Korea, the format sends them to culturally significant sites where they observe spiritual ceremonies, share regional customs and communal meals, and undergo personal fate readings.
Along the journey, the cast engages directly with shamanic rituals, which the series presents as a core element of Korean spiritual life. “Battle of Fates” launched on February 11 and became the most-watched series premiere on Disney+ Korea during its initial twelve-day window. The original season, comprising ten episodes, remains available alongside other Korean titles such as “I Am Boxer,” “The Zone: Survival Mission,” and “My Name Is Gabriel.” Disney+ has not disclosed a release schedule for the upcoming spin-off.
