Disney partners with TikTok to feature fan videos on Disney+ streaming
Disney and TikTok have struck a content-sharing agreement that will place selected fan-made TikTok videos on Disney+ in the United States, with plans to expand globally.
Disney and TikTok have entered a "first-of-its-kind" deal to share user-generated content across their platforms. Fans who join the program can incorporate Disney characters and intellectual property into TikTok videos, and a curated selection of those videos will be streamed on Disney+ under the Verts vertical video offering. The agreement also promises creators exclusive rewards, heightened visibility, invitations to special events and pathways for professional growth.
Launch is slated for the United States in the coming months, with later expansion to other territories. Disney’s chief marketing and brand officer Asad Ayaz and TikTok’s global head of entertainment Dawn Yang said the partnership will deepen fan engagement and broaden discovery of Disney content. The move follows a broader industry trend toward vertical-video formats on streaming services.
Why it matters
The deal blends social-media creativity with streaming, potentially boosting Disney+ content and giving TikTok creators new distribution channels.
