The Dubai-based logistics firm is responding to rising demand for specialised storage by investing up to €100 million in a new facility at the Port of Antwerp. The site will cater to pharmaceutical goods and perishable items. In parallel, DP World will acquire six warehouses owned by Connecticut-based GXO that serve supermarket chains across England and Northern Ireland. The moves come as activity at its Jebel Ali terminal fell sharply after the Strait of Hormuz closure, prompting diversification efforts on the UAE’s east coast.
