Driver denies dangerous driving charge in Jerrabomberra crash that killed tourism chief
A woman accused of striking and killing tourism leader Jackie McKeown in Jerrabomberra has entered a not-guilty plea to dangerous driving causing death.
Police say 55-year-old Theresa McDonald hit Jackie McKeown, a 48-year-old prominent figure in Canberra’s tourism sector, while she was walking on Bicentennial Drive. The incident occurred in 2024 and resulted in McKeown’s death. McDonald pleaded not guilty to the charge of dangerous driving occasioning death. The case is scheduled for trial in the New South Wales District Court.
