In a recent settlement, eBay will provide $48.7 million directly to the Steiners and $6 million to various charitable causes. Former chief communications officer Steve Wymer will contribute $2 million to the settlement and separately donate $1 million to a charity that defends First Amendment rights, earmarked in Ina Steiner’s name. eBay reiterated its apology and condemnation of the former employees’ actions.
