Eddie Hearn says Fury-Joshua heavyweight bout will be sealed by August end despite US venue talks

Eddie Hearn announced that a press conference at the close of August will precede the official announcement of the Tyson Fury versus Anthony Joshua bout. Although New York, with Madison Square Garden as the probable arena, is being discussed as a host site, Hearn emphasized his preference for a UK venue and said he will push to keep the fight on British soil. He noted that all other parties seem ready for a US move except Joshua, who feels an obligation to British fans.

Hearn remains confident that Joshua will be prepared to fight in November, irrespective of where the match is staged. To discourage a US location, promoters intend to make the financial terms unfavorable for an overseas event. The discussion of venue changes has sparked speculation about possible delays, but Hearn insists the schedule will hold.
