England striker Ivan Toney faces assault charge after Soho nightclub incident
England forward Ivan Toney has been charged with assault causing actual bodily harm over a December incident at a Soho nightclub and will appear in court in September.
The 30-year-old Toney, who currently plays for Al-Ahli in the Saudi Pro League, was formally charged on 31 July for an assault that occurred on Wardour Street in Soho on 6 December. The former Brentford striker, who featured in England’s recent World Cup bronze-final win, is accused of causing actual bodily harm. He is scheduled to appear before Westminster Magistrates’ Court on 24 September.
