European play-off draws set Celtic, Rangers, Brighton and Scottish clubs' next opponents

The draw for the Champions League play-off sees Martin O'Neill's Celtic taking on Austrian champions LASK, with the first leg scheduled for mid-August and the loser moving into the Europa League group stage. In the Europa League, Derek McInnes' Rangers will face Jagiellonia Bialystok in Poland, and a win would set up a clash with Northern Irish side Larne or Georgian club Iberia 1999. Brighton's Conference League tie will be decided against either CFR Cluj of Romania or Tromsø of Norway, with the second leg at Falmer Stadium.

Hearts, having dropped from the Champions League, must overcome Benfica before drawing AGF Aarhus or Sabah in the Europa League play-off, with matches slated for late August. Motherwell will meet HJK Helsinki in the third qualifying round, and a victory would pit them against Bundesliga side Freiburg in the Conference League play-off. Hibernian's path involves a tie with KF Shkendija, after which they could face IFK Gothenburg or Gent for a place in the Conference League group phase.
