Evil Dead Burn Hits Digital Stores Tomorrow, HBO Max Stream Expected Later This Year
The horror sequel Evil Dead Burn becomes available for purchase and rental online on August 4, with a streaming debut on HBO Max anticipated before year-end.
Warner Bros. has scheduled the digital rollout of Evil Dead Burn for early August, allowing viewers to buy or rent the horror sequel via Amazon Prime, Apple TV, Fandango At Home and other services beginning at midnight Eastern on August 4. Directed by Sébastien Vaniček and produced by Sam Raimi, the movie follows Souheila Yacoub’s character Alice, a widow who joins her late husband’s family only to confront the franchise’s signature demonic antagonists, the Deadites.
Pricing varies by platform, with Amazon Prime listing the purchase at $24.99 and the rental at $19.99, and a two-film bundle with Evil Dead Rise offered for $29.99. A physical release in 4K UHD, Blu-ray and DVD will arrive on September 22, including making-of featurettes and stunt breakdowns. Although not yet on any subscription service, the film is expected to appear on HBO Max, the Warner Bros. streaming outlet, likely in September after the home-video launch. Fans can therefore access the movie now through digital purchase or wait for the free streaming window later this year.
