Excel Entertainment and AA Films to Distribute Malayalam Vampire Thriller 'Half' in Hindi
Excel Entertainment and AA Films will present and distribute the Malayalam vampire action film ‘Half’ in Hindi across North India after its selection for Toronto’s Midnight Madness program.
‘Half’, a Malayalam-language vampire action thriller directed by Samjad and written with Praveen Viswanath, has secured a slot in the Midnight Madness section of the Toronto International Film Festival. Produced by Anne Sajeev and Sajeev P.K. under Fragrant Nature Film Creations, the movie stars Ranjith Sajeev, Aiswarya Raj, Abbas and Amala Paul and depicts two half-blood vampires engaged in a brutal hunt. Excel Entertainment, led by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani, will present the film in Hindi across North India together with AA Films.
Action choreographer Very Tri Yulisman trained the leads for their own stunts, and the crew includes award-winning editor Mahesh Bhuvanend and sound designer Vishnu Govind. Filming lasted 117 days across varied terrains in Rajasthan, Kerala and Kazakhstan. The project aims for a pan-Indian release in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Kannada languages.
