Father and Toddler Disappear During Afternoon Walk, Search Expands to Milwaukee

Todd Sabatini, 36, and his 22-month-old son Theo disappeared during a midday walk from their McHenry, Illinois residence on Saturday. Family members alerted police when the duo did not return, and investigators flagged Sabatini's atypical actions, including the absence of provisions for an extended trip. Security footage captured the father at a supermarket, attempting contact with someone at Zion Lutheran Church, and speaking with a staff member at a Taco Bell.

He later rode in a rideshare to the Greenfield Police Department in Wisconsin, spoke with an officer, and departed the station on foot with Theo by 2 p.m. Police now have reliable leads that the pair are in Milwaukee and are working with agencies across both states.
