Fenerbahce poised to spend heavily on Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford
Turkish club Fenerbahce has entered talks to acquire Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford, signalling a serious bid for the 28-year-old.
Fenerbahce has emerged as an unexpected contender for Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford, reaching out to his representatives with a willingness to invest heavily. The Turkish side’s transfer list also includes AC Milan’s Rafael Leao and Crystal Palace forward Ismaila Sarr. Rashford, 28, featured for England at the World Cup, providing two goal involvements in six matches, and spent the previous campaign on loan at Barcelona, scoring 14 goals in 49 outings.
Although United holds his contract through 2028, the club is reportedly open to a summer departure. Barcelona declined a £26 million option to sign him permanently, and United rejected subsequent proposals. Fenerbahce hopes to secure the experienced winger, though it remains uncertain whether he will leave the Premier League for the Turkish Super Lig.
Why it matters
The move could reshape player markets and boost Fenerbahce’s competitiveness in Turkey and Europe.
