The Seminole County Sheriff’s Office arrested Jeffrey Fischer, 44, of DeBary, after investigators linked him to a hidden webcam placed in a minor’s bedroom. Text messages show Fischer bragging about the abuse and sending live footage to Daniel Rodriguez, 35, who is already facing a death-penalty request for raping relatives and trafficking child porn. Fischer is accused of using AI to generate explicit content involving the girl, another teenager and three adult women.
The probe uncovered almost 300 images and videos tied to a Verizon mobile account registered to Rodriguez, depicting sexual assault of a pre-pubescent relative and other exploitative acts. Fischer now faces 21 charges, ranging from sexual battery on a child younger than 12 to 50 counts of possessing child sexual abuse material. Prosecutors highlighted that this is the first case in the 18th Judicial Circuit seeking the death penalty for heinous child sex crimes that did not result in death.
